On Thursday the 3rd of March we held our annual school swimming sports at the town pools. It was a hot, sunny day and the children really enjoyed participating in their various events. Well done to everyone for having fun and doing their best and good luck to the students who made it through to the interschool swimming competition. Here are the official results from the competitive senior swimmers in the outdoor pool.

It was a great season for both our teams. The Firth Aces won the league, beating Walton 42 - 20 in the final. Our team worked well together and showed great sportsmanship in all their games. The Firth All Stars also played some awesome basketball this season, improved a lot and managed to finish eighth overall. Thanks to the great coaches and the many supporters who cheered on our players.
Miniball has just wrapped up for the season. Our teams played some great games and all players improved a lot over the season. Thanks to the awesome coaches and all those that turned up to support and cheer on the players. The Firth Rockets finished fifth overall and the Firth Firebirds finished in sixth place.
Last Thursday we travelled out to Gore’s farm in Hinuera for the interschool cross country. Our runners did their very best and pushed themselves to the limit as they raced around the hilly course. Our top placed finishers were Adrein and Henacy who both finished fourth in their races. Thanks to all the volunteers and supporters who helped to make this a great day.
